I, David Clark, was born the fourth of ten children, where I spent my formative years on a small farm in Suwanee before moving to Lake Lanier. Although I always loved the outdoors, history captivated me at an early age. Through my love of history a deep seated concerned for my country developed. If we want to keep our country strong and free, we need people willing to put the love of God, family and country ahead of ourselves. This belief led me to join the military when I finished high school, inspired me through Army Ranger School and took me all the way to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. After returning home, I attended Georgia Gwinnett College and am now a small business owner.
I understand the devastating impact of the continued overreach of the Federal Government into our state. President Ronald Reagan famously said “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.” To that end I commit to stand for all the conservative principles that have made our state and country great. It is also a priority of mine to see Georgia lead the United States in the way we treat the men and women who serve our nation in the United States Military.
I spent a portion of my youth fighting – literally – for the freedom of this nation. Now I want to spend this next season of my life fighting in the political realm for the freedom of the State of Georgia to govern itself. As long as I follow the Constitution our Founding Fathers created, which I swore to uphold while fighting for the United States in Afghanistan, then I’ll make my District and State proud.
